CoD XP UK Championships Final Rundown

Wow, what a weekend! We have to apologise for the late arrival of this final piece of information but with very little sleep, hours of gaming and some extreme socialising in the evening everyone has been in recovery since their return.

The tournament itself has been concluded and we have our UK Grand Champion who will be heading off to LA to compete against the worlds best at MW3 and a grand prize of $1million. The winners taking $400,000 – thats $100,000 each!

The biggest shock of the tournament came from fnatic, losing first to Team Infused and then being removed by Nemico! With some huge cheers by Nemico and a stunned silence from the fnatic fans it was the end of the road for them. Team Infused then became the favorites to win but they themselves crashed and burned, losing to first to apeX and then also being removed by Nemico leaving us with an apeX vs Nemico final and what a final it was.

All the details of the final standings can be seen below. Videos on Demand will be available of Fileplay tomorrow morning for selected games – everything a CoD B:Ops player could want!

The final score was apeX 31 Nemico

CoD XP UK Championships Update

With the UK Championship qualifiers kicking off at midday today , admittedly a little later than planned, there have been some phenomenal games, some interesting upsets and no end to the drama. This update will give you all the details you need to know regarding who is still in the tournament, who has crashed and burned and who is likely to be celebrating an all expenses paid trip to LA to compete for the $1 million prize pot with bottles of champagne in the after party.

The start to the tournament was delayed due to some technical issues and a few players forgetting their profiles but once the tournament kicked off there have been very few hiccups. The venue looks stunning and with the VIP treatment courtesy of Activision and the Sound Club in Leicester square there isn’t much more a Blackops player could ask for.

This is what a $1million qualifier looks like

The tournament is in full swing now and with TommyD up on the main stage co-casting with A-spec expect to see some great coverage coming up. I will leave you with one final picture of the venue just to give you a final teaser of what Activision will be bringing to the CoD community in September from the Call of Duty Expo in LA.

And this is just the downstairs!

Infused vs fnatic the next big game to come. Highlights coming soon.
